Talk about scoring a big win. For more than 15 years, the Young Men and Women in Charge Foundation has hosted an expo aimed at sparking STEM innovation among youth in economically disadvantaged and marginalized communities. But behind the scenes, there was a problem: the competition’s cumbersome scoring process for judges. Enter volunteers from the PMI Delaware Valley Chapter, who created a user-friendly app that calculates results automatically. The shift meant navigating a flood of change requests, so the team “focused on communication and agile processes,” says volunteer Ernest Dixon, project manager at Air Products.
