This competition changed my career. In this competition I came in 5cm below my PR, and cleared on my first attempt. That one jump earned me a silver medal at SEC Championships. Only one other person was able to clear the bar. After securing the medal, I attempted multiple PRs in order to try for the Gold Medal, so I was skipping to heights that were 2 inches above my PR in order to challenge the would be Champ. It was very difficult attempting bars I had never even practiced and I didn't have full belief that I could even accomplish the task. I was humbled because I won a Medal as a Junior on a jump that would not have placed me in the top 10 as a Freshman. Then I was dominated in the bars that followed.
