What a move of God! Wednesday night church is our fifth service of the weekend, and because we typically hold baptisms at the end of every month, many had planned to be baptized on Memorial Day weekend. However, we rescheduled to have a proper memorial service for our fallen heroes. We contacted everyone who was scheduled to be baptized and asked them to reschedule. For those who couldn’t, we held a special baptism service. One of those who couldn’t reschedule was our friend Stella from Wisconsin. She’s being deployed and had flown in specifically to be baptized—she was the only one scheduled. But then, a move of God happened in our service. We extended an invitation for others to be baptized—and nearly 35 people stepped forward! What we often don’t realize is that on the other side of your “yes” and obedience is the inspiration for others to find the courage to do the same. Go God!
