We are taking a minute to shout out one of our very own, Coach John Beckley, an Assistant Coach for Outside Linebackers at the University of Tulsa. Beckley is a 2017 Riverwood graduate and played both football and baseball for the Raiders. He was a three-year starter at fullback and linebacker, receiving All-Region honors and two All-Academic Awards. Beckley was also a four-year letterman in baseball, earning All-Region honors. Additionally, he lettered one season in wrestling. Beckley played football for Wofford College and was a member of three teams that won Southern Conference Championships, as well as making three NCAA FCS Playoff appearances. He was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll for all five seasons and was a member of the SoCon Fall All-Academic team four times.
