Kelli & Troy Engagement Shoot -> 12/29/24 A month ago, I had the chance to shoot engagement photos for two of my friends, Kelli and Troy. I had never done an engagement shoot before and was definitely out of my usual comfort zone of sports and events. However, their transparent trust in me is what interested me in trying something new. I did research prior to the shoot, making a pinterest board for myself and to show them what I had in mind. We set up a time and location to meet, and before I knew it the day had come. I met them at their desired location in Old Town, Alexandria, in the morning. I wanted everything to be seamless, but nerves were definitely prevalent. Thankfully, it wasn’t just me who was nervous. I talked the couple through what I had in mind and how I wanted to spend the next few hours I was with them for. Through chatting with them and making them feel comfortable, we all eased up a bit. By the end of the shoot, they were even suggesting their own poses and ideas....
