The long-awaited #BMW M2 CS has officially arrived, with a full reveal on Tuesday coming after an initial tease at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Predictably, output from BMW’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six has risen versus the regular M2, and all of it is going to the rear wheels. The CS is working with 523 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, increases of 50 and 36 versus an automatic M2. Weight is also down (to 3770 pounds) compared to a standard M2, as BMW claims 97 pounds of weight savings. The savings come by way of standard forged wheels (finished in Gold Bronze) and judicious use of carbon fiber for exterior and interior components.
