When we were in pre-production for Bare Feet Season 7, we were only planning 2 episodes on the Island of Ireland - one in the northern part of the Republic (Counties Sligo & Donegal) and 1 in Northern Ireland (Derry, Giant’s Causeway, and Belfast). But as we were connecting with so many amazing folks, finding beautiful story after beautiful story, we realized 2 that episodes wasn’t enough. Belfast kept giving us gem after gem, stories of resilience through the arts, rebirth of places and people, stories of overcoming hardship in ways that weren’t just inspirational but also practical and empowering for the communities that they serve. So, without much need for convincing, we decided to do a whole episode featuring these gorgeous and powerful stories for an entire standalone Belfast episode.
