In memory of Alabama native Willie Mays – born 94 years ago today – MLB today unveiled the rosters for the second edition of the East-West Classic, which will be held on June 19th at Birmingham’s Rickwood Field. This event will mark MLB’s second consecutive Juneteenth celebration at one of the game’s most historic ballparks. CC Sabathia, Chris Young and Dusty Baker will lead a group that includes Prince Fielder, Ryan Howard, Andruw Jones, Jake Peavy, Gary Sheffield, and many other decorated former Major Leaguers.   As part of this event, MLB Together and other community stakeholders will help unveil a refurbished baseball and softball field at Willie Mays Park in the Hall of Famer’s hometown of Fairfield, Alabama. #MLBTogether | 11 comments on LinkedIn
