I start by writing a packing list, then triple checking everything once it is in my bag. I always pack extra snacks and a good water bottle as it is so important to stay energised and hydrated. During the journey, I try to remain optimistic as it can be so easy for plans to change. Things can easily become stressful and there is often lots of time spent on your feet or sitting for hours.
