ACADEMY PLAYER SPOTLIGHT! Today, we wanted to highlight a specific player who has earned incredible opportunities through his hard work and dedication to develop his game and compete at the highest levels of the sport. Andre Groome, a Full Time player with the 2010 MLS NEXT Boys Academy team, earned an invitation to a US Youth Soccer Market Training Center this fall. These invitations are extended to the top players in the Northeast Region by US Soccer scouts. After the first training center, Andre was invited back later in the fall, an invitation that is not extended to all players who attend the first training session. Following this second training center, Andre was again invited back to an even more select training center. This training session consists of the 32 top players in the Northeast Region, including all the major city markets the region encompasses.
