Wading through near freezing water barefoot in this canyon was one of the most shocking, painful, beautiful, and present experiences I had here. The cold forces nearly all thoughts and mind activity into the present moment, pair it with being surrounded by a setting straight out of a fantasy, it was the only time I was perfectly content to not be able to feel my feet.
