Here are my tips for your visit to this archaeological wonder: 🇯🇴Book accommodation in the nearby town of Wadi Musa. Petra is 3 hours south of the capital Amman, so it’s highly recommended to base yourself in Wadi Musa as it’s closeby. Also, book a place near the entrance if possible! The first time I visited, I stayed at the Petra Moon Hotel and was able to walk to the entrance within 10 mins. This time I stayed at the Marriott, which required a 15 min car ride. 🇯🇴Start early! We arrived at the entrance at 8:30am and it was already full of tourists 😅. 🇯🇴If you have the time in your itinerary, I recommend visiting Petra over two days so that you can see everything.
