*I always hated the term BIPOC. I worried/worry it will reduce all minoritized experiences to a monolith. Grouping us together to make it easier to be ignored by people that didn’t care about us anyway. But as last year unfolded, I found myself revisiting the concept of intersectionality, focusing specifically on indigenous and trans experiences and I decided that if this is our new term then I needed to be a better ally to every black and brown experience I came in contact with.
