Even if you’ve tried and failed in the past, try getting a plant. It’s helped remind me to drink water and bask in sunlight. I got my birds of paradise 4 years ago from thesill and it’s grown from 3 leaves to over 20. Ole girl is too big for most rooms but I love her all the same. The homies noirplantclub are a lovely black-owned plant business that I would recommend for first time plant parents. For furniture you can go a lot of places but I’ve found a lot of simple well made stuff from burrow. I’ve got these shelves all over my crib.
