Call me bourgeoisie if you want but my gear recommendations for editing are the iPad Pro & Apple XDR ProDisplay. Why the iPad Pro? Okay so y’all know I’m all about lightroom. Well if you use the cloud version, you can sync your work/edits on your phone, tablet and computer. That lets me dump cards, go cook dinner and then sit down on the couch and use the Apple Pencil to make precise edits with the adjustment brush. It’s made making edits on flights easier too because I can store files locally and edit with airplane mode. Why the Pro Display XDR? Man, I know it’s expensive. Do not purchase beyond your means. But if you can swing it, this screen is it. It has the best colors, the darks are dark but readable and the dynamic range? *chefs kiss* There isn’t any glare even when my blinds are open and my eyes don’t feel strained as much. Even if this price point isn’t for you, consider getting a screen that is color tested and corrected like the XDR versus an old TV screen or something...
