To Write Love On Her Arms is an organization focused on helping people struggling with depression, addiction, self harm and suicide. The first story is one from taiwoalonge, “For the longest time I used to pride myself on always being “good,” “ fine,” and having things under control. So much so that I would do this without realizing it. I’m thankful for the people in my life who called me out because in reality, keeping up the facade of being “good" just made me more vulnerable to feeling down. I have found it much more helpful and empowering to honestly name your feelings.
