This is the Sickle Cell Ball. A basketball like no other. With a single red crescent panel, the special-edition basketball was designed to represent the shape of a sickle cell and bring attention to a disease that affects more than 100,000 people in the United States, many of whom are Black and/or Hispanic-American. The Sickle Cell Ball is going out to patients and to community events, and its design is featured in NBA 2K25.
