#SummerXMoody: This summer, utexascld student Valentina Avendaño is getting a global perspective on public relations in her hometown of Lima, Peru, where she’s interning at Pacífico Seguros, one of the country’s largest insurance companies. Valentina has jumped right into the fast-paced world of corporate PR—drafting press releases, collaborating on communication strategies and exploring how public image is shaped from within a major organization. “My biggest takeaway has been the importance of being proactive.
