Growing up, it was typical for my household and community with my Bangladeshi background to only eat at home on Eid. We saw our moms cook up a feast the night before up until the early hours of the morning - only to wake up early to start cooking again! We went to neighbors’ houses and ate what everyone cooked. No one was allowed to leave without eating at minimum three dishes that was made, lol. And then they came over to your place and you did the same! House-hopping, as they say. But over the past years, I learned that people from different cultural backgrounds actually go out to eat! No cooking at home, maybe sweets and desserts, but the Eid meals were usually done at a nice restaurant, usually family-friendly and something for everyone. This Eid, I curated a list of restaurants that are good for solo diners, friend groups, and the family entourage. And yes, they are all OPEN ON EID! 🤗 May Allah accept from us all and expiate our sins and reach Eid Al-Adha. Ameen. #halal #guid...
