Every trip has a purpose. This weekend I’m in Los Angeles calling the UCLA Regional, and while it’s a break from MLB broadcasting, it’s also a chance to get back to where it started for me. College baseball. There’s something about the purity of this game at the college level. The grind. The energy. The dreams still forming. It takes me back to my days at UNLV, where I was just a kid trying to make something of myself. These trips aren’t just work, they’re a reminder. So I make the most of them. Early workouts.
