At just 29, Shannon, an active pediatric physician assistant, was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. With expert surgical care at MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, she opted for a double mastectomy and avoided radiation and chemo.
