The Miners win! ⛏️ Sussex County returned home from a long Illinois road trip and defeated the aiglestr, 5-1, on Miners Community First Education Day at skylandsstadium. The Miners came from behind to tie the game in the sixth and scored four times in the eighth to seal the win. Sussex County remains on top of the frontier_league’s Atlantic Conference East Division at 16-7. Keenan O’Brien (keenan_o9) powered Sussex County with a three-run jack in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Miners catcher is hitting .302 on the season. First baseman Mahki Backstrom (cmcthagreat) reached base three times and scored twice, including the winning run. Starting pitcher Jackson Balzan (jbalzan2) tossed seven strong innings, giving up only one run on six hits and striking out three.
