For 3 years now I have listened to these words to motivate me to strive for more. I get chills every time I hear them. It’s easy to settle for comfort. It’s easy to spiral into the never ending pit of consumption. But I believe I was made for more. I was made to reflect the one who created me. I was meant to be creative because the God who I am made to reflect is creative. I want to taste love and pain, feel pride and shame. Jesus is my only boast. I will strive for greatness not because I need to earn anything, but because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I refuse to squander the gifts God has given me. I refuse to give up in the fight against my own flesh. I refuse to be wrapped in the regret of “what could have been”. May we never live as an unsung melody.
