Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a mistakenly deported Salvadoran native who lived in Maryland, is back in the U.S. to face federal charges, according to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. Abrego Garcia was indicted by a federal grand jury for transporting undocumented migrants within the U.S.
“This is what American justice looks like,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said in announcing Abrego Garcia's return and the unsealing of a grand jury indictment. A court appearance in Nashville was set for Friday.
Bondi called Abrego Garcia a "danger to our community."
