We want to congratulate our two graduating band teaching assistants! They have been a massive part of our program's success and they will be missed. Dr. Ashley Shoupe is from Streamwood, IL. Ashley got her Bachelors of Music in Music Education at Northern Illinois University and then her Masters of Music in Wind Conducting here at the University of Kentucky! We are proud to call her Dr. Shoupe as she just finished her doctoral program with UK Bands. Dr. Shoupe was just appointed the Assistant Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands at Murray State University! Dr. Josh Gillen is from Opelika, AL. Josh got his Bachelors of Education in Music Education and his Masters of Music Education both at Auburn University. Josh just successfully completed his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Wind Band Conducting here at UK! Dr. Gillen's hobbies include digital media production, drill writing and design, music arranging, and learning new instruments to name a few.
