Defense attorney Robert Alessi made an impassioned argument for a mistrial in the Karen Read trial Monday, saying the prosecution showed John O'Keefe's hooded sweatshirt with holes in the back of it that were cut by a prosecution criminalist, but made it appear to jurors as if the holes were caused as the result of a collision. Special prosecutor Hank Brennan admitted to making a mistake and Judge Beverly Cannone resolved the issue, allowing into evidence the documentation that recorded the actions of the criminalist and instructing the jury to correct their understanding of the information. #nbc10boston #karenreadtrial
