Dallas Center-Grimes defeated Waverly-Shell Rock, 1-0, on June 7 and claimed the Class 2A Iowa girls soccer state championship. The Mustangs came out on top, finishing the season with a win against Waverly-Shell Rock, the only team in 2A to both beat DCG and score a goal on the Mustangs this season.
