Boston Marathon Race Recap, Part 12: I don’t recall how many runners I passed those final miles and I couldn’t tell you at the time what place I was in, but it didn’t matter. All I could think about was turning Right on Hereford and Left on Boylston to the Finish of yet another Boston Marathon. I have run this race twice before. In 2023 I was only 30 seconds off the win. But this year I felt way more cheers, way more chants, way more love than ever before! That is the coolest thing about the running community. It doesn’t matter what place you finish in, or what time you run, the support and love is colossal. I soaked up the crowd as much as I could. I smiled, I waved, I made some awkward eye contact at times 🙃, and I thought about how special it was to be there. Conquering a marathon is not for the faint of heart. I don’t mean the race itself. I mean the weeks, months, and maybe even years it takes to accomplish such a tremendous feat. The sweat, the tears, the endless string ...
