Boston Marathon Race Recap, Part 10: Tackling the Newton Hills of the Boston Marathon with a smile is a powerful thing. You feel like your legs are going to buckle, and with every stride and every exaggerated arm swing you could very well end up landing on your face.. but you can’t help but feel happy through it all. Runners ahead of me were fading farther and farther out of view, but it was at this point I reminded myself: Run Hard. Have Fun. As many of you know, this is a quote from my dad. He would write it on a note to me before every race. Each marathon I do I try to remember this. ❤️🕊️ It doesn’t matter who’s ahead of you and it doesn’t matter what time you are projected to finish.
