Ryan's Poke Bowl 🐟🥑
•
While poke bowls are intended to be a healthy dish, most Ahi Poke bowls sold at restaurants are not very good for you. 👎🏼 •
•
Unfortunately, ahi tuna is high in toxic heavy metals, like mercury, making it a poor choice in the seafood department. Even worse, most of the fish used in poke restaurants is farm-raised. 🤦🏻♂️
•
On top of that, the blood sugar-spiking, pure stach (aka rice) that sets the bed for the bowl isn't great to eat alot of if you are trying to lose weight. 🍚
•
In the end, making your own is ideal! Use wild-caught, low-mercury fish (such as sockeye salmon) and a low gylcemic alterantive to rice (like miracle rice). 🐟
•
Ingredients:
Wild Sockeye salmon (previously frozen of course, since it is eaten raw) 🐟
Miracle rice (Shirataki) 🍚
Avocado 🥑
Bell peppers
Tomatoes 🍅
@primalkitchen chiptole mayo 🌶️
Tamari
Coconut aminos 🥥
Option to add: ripe jalapeno, sesame seeds, and fresh sqeezed lime 🍋
