Puffed grains are some of the fastest sugar-converting, blood sugar-spiking starches. I always CRINGE when I see someone who is 'health conscious' using a rice cake instead of toast. 🍚 🤦🏽♂️ • Now don't get me wrong, both are terrible, but I'd say that rice cakes may be even worse with a glycemic index over 90!! 😱👎🏼 • Let's put this into perspective. Table sugar has a GI of around 63, which means rice cakes will cause a bigger spike in blood sugar then PURE sugar! 🤯 • If your looking to improve your physical appearance, quality of life, and overall health, then I highly encourage you to avoid rice cakes!
