🚨EPIC ALERT🚨Yesterday, we spent 5 hours with the most incredible blue whales - stick with me on the caption, we saw them perform so many rare behaviors! I love this photo & the experience, but I’m so sick of Instagram compressing & ruining photos - you should see this beaut on my phone or computer 😫 First, Blake spotted a blue whale who quickly came over & mugged us for 30 minutes. The incredible visibility let us watch him circle, hang out underneath & the best was when he turned on his side, stopped swimming & just stared up at us 😍 he was a fan of surfacing where we weren’t looking & waiting a few seconds to blow - scaring the shit out of us 🤣 then he swam off a bit, straight into a balloon 🤬 after getting the balloon, we spotted what looked like several breaching humpbacks - big black things high in the sky 🙌 We rushed over, and 🤯 were shocked - they were 6 blue whales breaching, lunging & RACING & breaching (not full body, of course) through the water - but of course the...
