How our 4 hour journey to Penang became a 10 hour journey to Penang! 🫣🫣 I’m glad I vlogged this day because this is a very common kind of travel day when you’re backpacking! You can plan all you like but there are some things you can’t control - like a broken down bus! Ill concede that the airport debacle was entirely my fault though 🫣 adding another hour to our arrival time! Here’s the places we went to in the video! • We booked our bus on a website called BusOnlineTravel.com, which is where I always book my tickets in Malaysia. Just be mindful that the time estimates are unrealistically fast, so do check the route on Google maps first to get your timings. KL -> Georgetown is minimum 4 hours. There’s a train you can get if you want your timings to be a bit more reliable • we stayed at a budget hotel called Kooning, and it was €34.09 for the room.
