New restaurant in Bangkok to add to your lists! I saw baansuansathorn on TikTok last night and had to try it! I’ve been burned by so many TikTok recs, but this one is legitimately good 👌🏼 Baan Suan Sathorn is a little oasis in the middle of the city, and a gorgeous spot to escape the bustling streets outside. (It’s also close to Benchakitti park, so I would come here before or after a visit to the park) The food was decent and not badly priced, cocktails are also excellent (this is more flashpacker / mid-range than super budget at about €4 per dish). They have Italian food but I’m always gonna choose Thai when I can, and the yellow crab curry didn’t disappoint. If you’re a meat eater, try the Laab moo Tod, they’re Tim’s favourite ❤️ Because this is such a picturesque café, I have no doubt that during peak times it will be flooded with people taking photos and milling about - which might change the vibe a bit. We came here for a late lunch, at about 3 pm and it was lovely and quiet...
