Tag your travel buddy and get them to come here with you 👀 We made it to Nong Khiaw, and I already have no regrets about taking half the day to come here - for just 24 hours 👀🫣 Last time we were in Laos, we found out about Nong Khiaw on our last day in Luang Prabang so it was too late to go. This time I was on a mission! The biggest reason that this place doesn’t get many visitors is that getting here can be a little bit of a faff. You get get south to Vang Vieng in just an hour by high speed train, but travelling north to Nong Khiaw involves a 3-4 hour drive on some winding roads. Add in the general casual attitude towards time schedules here, and the trip can take up to 6/7 hours 😂 Check our stories for a look at our journey!
