And just like that, 2024 has come to a close 🥹💜 What a year it’s been! This has hands-down been Asiyah’s biggest and best year yet, and it’s all because of YOU. We’ve been able to help more survivors, bring people together, and create stronger connections in our community than ever before. This year, we pulled off NYC’s first Muslim convention, RamadanCon, hosted a 5K Walk for migrants and refugees, and even launched a nationwide fundraising competition with schools to support survivors and our shelter. But it wasn’t all about work—we also made space to just be together and have fun. Our Eid Picnic brought over 1,000 people to celebrate and connect, and Volunteer Fridays became more than just a way to give back—they turned into a way to make friends, find community, and feel at home, whether you’re new to the city or just looking for your people.
