The news of Ananda Lewis’ passing has shaken the media world to its core. Who the world knew her to be on the screen is who she has always been in the making of her career. As a Howard Bison alum, she was always passionate about dedicating her time to support at-risk youth and giving these issues a platform. In fact, she was considering going to school for education when she learned that BET was looking for a new host for “Teen Summit.’ She auditioned, and the rest was history. Ananda continued to soar in her career leaving an imprint that was and continues to be felt by many.
