Alec Jaculina, a proud first-generation college student, earned his B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from SJSU in 2022 and is now pursuing a master’s in Human Factors & Ergonomics with a focus on UX. His journey into engineering wasn’t always easy—overcoming challenges in mathematics became the driving force behind his success. Through scholarships and mentorship, Alec thrived, developing key skills in collaboration and user-centered design. Now, as a Human Factors Engineering Co-op at Insulet Corporation, he’s working to improve the usability of medical devices, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and effective for all users.
