CAMBODIA 🇰🇭 A land with 4000 (discovered) ancient stone temples — each holding stories of kings, gods, and lost civilizations beneath their moss-covered walls. 🌿 Most of Cambodia’s temples are unrestored, slowly being overtaken by the earth. Many remain hidden & undocumented after being abandoned for centuries, buried deep in the jungle & consumed by giant banyan and ficus trees. Others, like Ta Prohm Temple here, have become quite famous (Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed here!), and restoration efforts have attempted to free the temples from the grip of the ginormous roots that have woven through their halls and doorways.
