Welcome to Tunisia!…? 🇹🇳 Okay let’s be honest — if you’re following my stories, you’ll know that this was *not* the warmest welcome arriving here. After being interrogated at customs for 5 hours, strip-searched, and all my camera gear confiscated… the epic 10-day Tunisia road trip itinerary I planned got dramatically derailed. Ultimately I had to cancel the entire itinerary… and found myself spending a week in Sidi Bou Said, this blue & white town on a hill, looking out onto the Mediterranean Sea. (Not a bad place to be “stuck” though, right?) I’d dreamt of visiting this town for years, and (ironically) originally planned to spend an entire week resting here after months of nonstop travel.
