Today we're sharing an amazing piece of Fine Arts Building history -- this drawing from 1898 depicts the reconstruction of the building as it was transformed from the Studebaker Carriage Company's assembly and showroom to a home for art studios. In the reconstruction, under the direction of architect Solon S. Beman, the 8th floor (then the top floor) of the building was removed, and the 8th, 9th, and 10th floors were added.
