Everything I wish I knew before hosting my Chinese tea ceremony!! 🧧🏮✨ (Part 2/20) what’s a piece of advice you wish you received on your wedding day?
1. Plan ahead, whether to have it on the day before the American wedding or the same day, I personally loved having my tea ceremony on a separate day. I didn’t feel rushed. ⏰
2. You’re not just serving tea—you’re showing gratitude, receiving blessings, and formally joining two families. 🫖
3. Order matters, this honors hierarchy and tradition, so double-check the lineup. Start from eldest to youngest. 🏮
4. I hosted my tea ceremony at home because I knew I would receive valuable gifts. I didn’t want to lose anything or get lost in the shuffle of moving from place to place. It was perfect! 🧧
5. Scott and I both got custom clothes for the day of because we wanted to show respect to my Chinese heritage. His custom suit is from joshtailoring (full video coming soon) and my traditional cheongsam is from eastmeetsdress. ♥️
