Down's transition from the #TailteannCup to the #SamMaguire series this year has been thrilling to watch as Conor Laverty's side have shown a brilliant attacking flair. Since their come from behind win over Fermanagh in Ulster and defeat to Dongeal, they have bounced into the All Ireland series with scores of 3-27, 0-25 and 1-26 in their three games, with only the loss to Monaghan in yesterday's belter the only setback so far. Monaghan themselves hit 87 points in total, the second highest of any team across the four groups - Armagh's 78 points is the closest that any other side came to the top two in Group 3.
