A hungry elephant caused a chaotic scene in a grocery store in Thailand, when he strolled in from a nearby national park and brazenly helped himself to several snacks.⁣ ⁣ The shocked shopkeepers could do little but call for the park rangers during the mammoth mischief as it chowed down nine bags of sweet rice crackers, a sandwich and some bananas worth an estimated total of 800 baht.⁣ ⁣ The huge male is known to locals as Plai Biang Lek, and is a familiar sight on the fringes of the Kha Yai National Park.
