UMass Lowell professors once again teamed up with Tara Bedard’s second-grade class at S. Christa McAuliffe Elementary School to help the students write and publish their own books about Lowell! History Prof. Robert Forrant encouraged the students to think about their neighborhoods and what to write, while Prof. Ingrid Hess, a children’s book author, showed them how to illustrate their stories. Last week, the young authors were joined by Rowdy at Lala Books for their book launch party, where they proudly read their books aloud to an audience.
