Did you know River Hawks are real? Meet the five peregrine falcons who hatched in the nest box on the roof of UMass Lowell’s Fox Hall. Last Friday, Massachusetts wildlife biologists banded the falcons in partnership with the university in an effort to protect, monitor and help the peregrine population grow. Peregrine falcons have been nesting on the rooftop of Fox Hall since 2007 and the care of these raptors demonstrates the university’s commitment to sustainability and the environment. Check out the link in our bio to learn more about the banding and these beautiful birds. #UMassLowell #PeregrineFalcons #banding #masswildlife
