The first one shouldn't have to be said but it needs to be said.
1. Respect – Talk to us, not at us. Even when emotions run high, respect sets the tone. I have never changed a call because you got belligerent after you think I got it wrong. Showing respect in spite of disagreeing with a call speaks volumes for you as a player.

2. Gratitude – A simple “thank you, Blue” goes further than you think. It reminds us we’re on the same field, not opposite sides. Now I don't expect this BUT I do remember the players and teams that make it a point to come say thanks. This is one of the simplest and easiest things you can do.
