It’s the 4th of July and I’m terrified for the future of our country. Our experiment with democracy has barely held on at times over the last 246 years, and it’s never been closer to ending than it is now. There is a minority fascistic wing in this country that wants to make it harder to vote because they can’t win a fair fight. Their ideas aren’t popular and so they want to throw out votes and ensure that your rights don’t matter. They want to install an authoritarian to control what you say and do because they are scared of…everything. It’s the endgame. Our great grandfathers that fought in WWI & WWII are rolling over in their graves; these are the sentiments that they fought against. Oh, add to the fact that women, 50.8% of the country, lost constitutional rights two weeks ago (first time ever US citizens have lost rights). Climate change threatens our health and safety (but the oil lobby controls Congress so I guess we’re toast). Guns seemingly have more rights than people even tho...
