June is Men’s Mental Health Month.
At the Raleigh Testicular Cancer Foundation, we recognize that men struggle too.
Every day, too many men face their mental battles alone. In the U.S., men die by suicide nearly 4 times more often than women, and it’s often tied to untreated or unspoken mental health challenges. The weight of a cancer diagnosis, the toll of treatment, and the complex emotions of survivorship can lead to anxiety, depression, identity loss, and isolation—especially for men who are taught to stay silent.
Mental health is health. It’s time we normalize the conversation.
We urge men to:
• Talk openly with people they trust
• Seek professional mental health support
• Build healthy routines around sleep, movement, and nutrition
• Join support networks and survivor communities
• Recognize that vulnerability is a sign of strength, not weakness
