The time and place to be technical! 🔧⚒️🪛💡 I love spending time on my wedges and practicing my stock yardages when I’m home. Here I’m hitting a 65 yard shot with a 60° wedge (my favorite yardage with my 60°). My goal is to achieve an efficient motion without feeling too stiff. With pitch shots, my tendency is to make an arm swing at the ball and not use my legs or engage my core enough. So here I’m using language to help create a more dynamic move. I don’t want to sway off the ball on my takeaway, but it is importantly to note that weight does move slightly away from the target on the backswing and then towards the target on the down swing. At impact, rather than stop my lower body and throw my hands at the ball, I picture my finish and tell myself to post up on my left leg.
